It is hard to believe that it has already been a year since CORE Archaeology made its British television debut! In 2022 we were invited to participate in episode 1 of season 1 of ‘Nick Knowles’ Great Railway Adventures.’ At the time we were working at the archaeological site Machuqolqa which is located at the Raqchi mirador close to the town of Chinchero. Located at an altitude of around 3,850 m.a.s.l. the site is easily spotted from the main road between Cusco and Urubamba in the Sacred Valley.

In August 2022 Nick and a television production crew travelled to Peru and we were fortunate enough to be featured on the show which was broadcast on Channel 5. For a little taster check out this link https://twitter.com/MrNickKnowles/status/1603075880066195457?t=6QcjjaFOyHNRe5zxDAd2kQ&s=19 to see Nick excavate at the Machuqolqa site with CORE Archaeology founder Daniel O’Shea.

Needless to say, it was a great experience for all involved and a pleasure to be part of this programme which helps us to continue our mission at CORE archaeology to protect, preserve, and promote Peru’s rich cultural heritage.
